CSTO elects new Secretary General

Taalatbek Masadykov has been elected as the new Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), the organization’s acting head Imangali Tasmagambetov said at a press conference on Thursday.

The representative of Kyrgyzstan will assume office on January 1, 2026. Masadykov previously served as the CSTO Deputy Secretary General and has extensive experience in international affairs.
