ISW: A rapid Russian takeover of Donbas remains impossible

Russia will be unable to seize full control of Donetsk region before August 2027 at its current rate of advance, according to an assessment by the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).

Analysts say the pace of Russian territorial gains makes a rapid takeover unrealistic in the coming years.
