Red Wings aircraft declares emergency near Moscow after engine fire

A Red Wings aircraft declared an emergency while flying over the Moscow region after its left engine caught fire, according to Telegram channels. The crew circled over the Stupino area for about an hour to burn fuel before landing.

The Moscow–Phuket flight landed safely at Domodedovo Airport. TASS reported that the fire was extinguished mid-air and no injuries were recorded.

There were 425 people on board — 412 passengers and 13 crew members.
