Trump says he is disappointed by Zelensky’s lack of response to peace proposal

U.S. President Donald Trump said he is disappointed that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has not reacted to the proposed peace deal. Trump said the document has already been backed by Moscow and Ukraine’s negotiating team, but Zelensky himself “has not read it.”

“We spoke with Putin and with Ukrainian leaders. Zelensky’s team loves the proposal, Russia too, but he hasn’t reviewed it,” Trump said, adding that he doubts Zelensky is ready to support the plan.

Zelensky is expected to be in London on Monday, where he will likely discuss the proposal with European leaders before giving a response.
