Azerbaijan’s insurance market grows nearly 12% in January–November

Insurance premiums collected by Azerbaijan’s 16 insurance companies totalled 1.365 billion manats in the first 11 months of the year.

According to the Report news agency, citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, this represents an increase of 11.7% compared with the same period last year.

Insurance payouts reached 844.833 million manats over the period, up 21.7% year on year.

During the 11 months, insurers paid out 61.9 manats for every 100 manats of premiums collected, compared with 56.8 manats a year earlier.
