Aliyev discusses oil strategy and gas supplies with Vitol CEO

 Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev met with Vitol Chief Executive Russell Hardy on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos.

The talks focused on Azerbaijan’s oil strategy and the country’s role in ensuring Europe’s energy security. Several European countries, including a number of European Union member states, are supplied with Azerbaijani gas, Aliyev said.

The two sides also exchanged views on cooperation between Azerbaijan and Vitol.

Headquartered in Rotterdam, Vitol is one of the world’s largest independent energy traders.
