Often some of the funniest, most interesting and quirky moments at sports events go almost unnoticed, rarely featured in reports or blog posts.

So here are five ridiculous things you may not have already seen or heard about from the last week in the sporting world.Did you see anything particularly noteworthy that passed off without mention? Feel free to bring it to our attention in the comments section below...1) 'DIVA' J-LO PULLS OUT OF WORLD CUP - Jennifer Lopez won't perform the official World Cup song at the opening ceremonyOh dear, well some would say it was always likely to happen. Jennifer Lopez won't perform the World Cup's official song alongside fellow artists Pitbull and Claudia Leitte during the tournament's opening ceremony in Brazil with FIFA officials seemingly crestfallen.Football's governing body said Lopez cannot perform at Thursday's huge event as earlier planned because of unspecified 'production issues' - i.e. she doesn't want to.'J-Lo' announced her split from long-term boyfriend Casper Smart earlier this week and has had the song roundly criticised by many for the overly generic sound with Leitte only singing a few seconds at the end of the song in her native Portuguese.2) WANT TO HEAR CR7 SING? - Cristiano Ronaldo teased this one himself, a video of him singing with Anselmo Ralph'Do you want to see my singing?' That's what Cristiano Ronaldo asked Twitter on Sunday and our initial reaction was…well no not really… but of course curiosity got the better of us and we just had to give it listen.Ronaldo duets with Anselmo Ralph – an Angolan R&B singer who is massive in the Portuguese speaking world – in an ad for a Portuguese bank. And our verdict on Ronaldo's singing? Well we're disappointed, mainly because we wanted him to be really good or really bad when in reality he is just a bit 'meh'.3) FREDDIE MARRIES SPURS FAN - Freddie Ljungberg ties the knot with a Tottenham fanFormer Arsenal star Freddie Ljungberg married his partner and Tottenham Hotspur fan Natalie Foster on Saturday and was quick to show off the photos on Twitter.Ljungberg, the 37-year-old midfielder who retired in 2012, tied the knot to 26-year-old Foster, who is the daughter of London taxi tycoon Daryl, in a glittering ceremony.Former Gunners team-mate Tony Adams was among the guests at London's Natural History Museum. There was no doubt a special exhibition showcasing the former glory years at Arsenal.4) WOW, IS THAT REAL? - Amazing pics of massive hailstorm hitting matchBelgium's final World Cup warm up against Tunisia was temporarily halted on Saturday because of a massive hailstorm, and it really was a sight to behold. The match was stopped in the 24th minute after torrential rain turned into giant hail stones as big as golf balls. The score was 0-0 when the game was interrupted – and you can see from these images, these were some serious hailstones.5) HAVE YOU SEEN ME WITH THE TROPHY? Maria Sharapova goes on marathon trophy photoshoot in ParisIt’s fair to say that Maria Sharapova thoroughly enjoys the spotlight, which is a good job as she had to spend most of Sunday posing with the Coupe Suzanne Lenglen at the Eiffel Tower as she celebrated her French Open win. From feeling like clay was an alien surface, Sharapova has turned it into her most successful stage, and she showed just how at home she now feels in Paris as she dazzled in a sparkly dress while clutching the trophy.Perhaps surprisingly, her Sugarpova sweets were, for once, nowhere to be seen. Unless a packet was hiding inside the cup, that is.(uk.eurosport.yahoo.com)Bakudaily.az
