Putin appoints Sergey Vershinin as ambassador to Türkiye
Russia has appointed a new ambassador to Türkiye, APA’s Moscow bureau reports.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has relieved Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Vershinin of his post and appointed him as Russia’s ambassador to Türkiye.
Note that Sergey Vershinin has served as Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister since March 27, 2018. At the Russian Foreign Ministry, he oversaw relations with countries of the Middle East and North Africa.
