Azerbaijan provided jobs for 1,008 people released from correctional facilities in 2025, while 262 others were enrolled in self-employment programmes to establish small family farms and microbusinesses, the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population said in response to a query from anews.az.

The ministry said more than 1,320 former inmates were engaged in active labour market programmes last year through the State Employment Agency of Azerbaijan, including job placement, self-employment support and vocational training.

In addition, 52 recently released individuals received vocational training in professions aligned with labour market demand in 2025, with support provided to help graduates secure employment.
