Iran denies attacks, says no talks under way with U.S.
Iran denied reports that its delegation had travelled to Islamabad for talks with the United States and said negotiations remain suspended until a ceasefire is enforced in Lebanon, state news agency Tasnim reported.
“Until the United States fulfils its commitments on a ceasefire in Lebanon and Israel halts its attacks, negotiations are suspended,” the report said.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) also rejected any involvement in recent attacks on sites in Gulf countries.
In a statement carried by state television, the IRGC said Iran’s armed forces had not launched any strikes towards other countries during the ceasefire period.
Earlier reports by several media outlets had said an Iranian delegation was heading to Islamabad for talks with U.S. officials.
