Criminal case launched on beating of 8-year-old child

APA reports quoting the website of the Education Ministry that 8-year-old Javadov Nahid Zaur, the 2nd grade student of the Boarding school for Mentally Handicapped Children number 7 located in Surakhani district was reportedly beaten by school principal Afagat Asgarova and received injuries. The Ministry of Education, the police and prosecuting agencies conducted proper investigations on the factors which caused resonance in the public. In order to ensure the objectivity of investigation, the boarding school’s administrative personnel and the persons whose names were mentioned over the incident have been provisionally dismissed. Criminal case has been launched on the fact under Criminal Code’s articles #296.1 (obviously false denunciation concerning commitment of a crime) and #314 (negligence).The Investigation Department of Baku City Prosecutor's Office was commissioned to conduct the investigation. A full, thorough, and unbiased investigation is underway to discover whether N.Javadov was beaten or not, and additional information about the incident will be given soon.
