Azerbaijani police solve 51 crimes, apprehend 101 wanted persons in nationwide daily sweep

Law enforcement officers in Azerbaijan solved 43 newly registered crimes and cleared 8 cold cases from previous periods on August 17, according to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Throughout the 24-hour reporting period, police operations resulted in the apprehension and transfer of 101 wanted individuals, 77 of whom were sought as debtors. In addition, 49 suspects were detained in connection with various criminal offenses.

Police units also uncovered 15 illicit narcotics offenses and 1 violation concerning the unlawful possession of arms and ammunition.
