EU helps ASAN to obtain ISO certificate

On April 22, the head of the EU delegation in Baku, Ambassador Malena Mard, visited the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations (SAPSSI) under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan The EU has just completed a project which supported  the Agency to improve corporate, ISO and Human Resources Management (HRM) standards and helped the Agency to obtain ISO 9001:2008 certificate, adopt customer services manual and HRM manual on performance appraisal, training and motivation processes.

During a meeting, Chairman of the Agency, Mr. Inam Kerimov presented to EU Ambassador the work principles of ASAN centre and the achievements made by the Agency since its start in 2012. Both sides underlined the importance of reforms in services simplification, development of e-services as well as further areas of cooperation.    

Congratulating the Chairman for the obtaining of the ISO 9001:2008 certificate Mrs. Mard emphasized that: 

"ASAN is a model for a successful public services provision that in a very short time has been able to make a significant positive difference for many citizens of Azerbaijan. The EU is proud to have been among the first international partners to co-operate with ASAN and we hope to continue looking into co-operation possibilities for the future as ASAN continues developing its services".  

The EU funded project on "Support to the State Agency for Public Service and Social innovations under the auspices of the President of Azerbaijan relating to the improvement of corporate, ISO and HRM standards" was implemented from September 2013 to April 2014 and had a budget of about 300,000 EURO.
