Azerbaijani mugham group wins international contest in Russia

Azerbaijani “Aypara” mugham group has won an international competition of ensembles and orchestras of national instruments in Chita, Russia, Azartac reported.
The competition brought together over 60 musical bands and more than 900 musicians from a number of countries.
Aypara includes winner of 2011 Azerbaijani mugham competition r Ayten Maharramova, laureate of 2007 Mugham Television Competition Vusal Zamanov, winners of the 7th International “Eurasian Sounds” festival Edalet Behbudov (tar) and Perviz Ferhadov (kamancha), as well as musicians of the “Aypara” instrumental ensemble.
