Azerbaijan to publish local edition of National Geographic

An Azerbaijani edition of the National Geographic magazine will be published in the country this year, state news agency Azartac reported. 

Azerbaijan’s  Garant Holding signed an agreement to publish the magazine under a license from the National Geographic Society at a ceremony attended by Garant' CEO Anar Mammadov and National Geographic Society executive vice president, Terry Adamson.

National Geographic Azerbaijan will become the 40th local-language edition of National Geographic.

The new edition will publish content from the English-language edition and introduce local content of interest to Azerbaijani readers.

The first issue of National Geographic Azerbaijan is expected to go out in September 2014.
