Police break up demonstration at Baku State University - PHOTO

Several dozen students staged a protest outside Baku State University today in protest against new rules proposed by the Ministry of Education.

The new rules require students to pay for additional courses after failing exams.

Nearly 60 students staged a sit-in outside the university and staged a march. Police broke up the demonstration, detaining four protesters.

The protesters chanted “do not violate laws, do not make up laws”.
