A POLITICIAN from singer Shakira's native Colombia has accused the singer of 'moral decay', saying her latest video promotes both lesbianism and smoking.

The clip for Shakira's Rihanna duet Can't Remember To Forget You features the pair cavorting on a bed in black lingerie, with Shakira shown suggestively puffing on a cigar. Having seen the video, Public Option party councillor Marco Fidel Ramirez, from the Colombian capital of Bogota, had a visceral reaction."Our Shakira with her erotic video is promoting tobacco usage and has become the worst example for our youth," he wrote on Twitter, as reported by the New York Daily News."Shakira's new video is a shameless case for lesbianism and immorality. It is a danger to children," he added, using the hashtag #PeligroVideoShakira, which translates to "Dangers of Shakira's Video.""It sends a provocative message to weak people who can be polluted and induced to practice (lesbianism)," he continued, further describing the clip as an "apology" for lesbianism.Check out the video below to see what all the fuss is about. A warning, though: based on Ramirez's logic, you may be a practising lesbian by song's end. And just in time for Mardi Gras!(news.com.au)ANN.Az
