Jose Mourinho wants to replace Manchester United-bound Juan Mata

Mata is set to complete his £37 million club-record move from Chelsea to Old Trafford today - and according to The Sun, Blues manager Mourinho will use some of this money on a raid for £24 million-rated French star Griezmann.Arsenal's £12 million bid for the 22-year-old was rejected earlier this month, Spaniards Sociedad demanding a fee double what Wenger offered.Winger Griezmann has hit 12 goals in 18 La Liga games this season and is said to want to quit Sociedad for a bigger club to improve his chances of playing at the World Cup in Rio this summer.Chelsea yesterday finally reached a deal with United for Mata after two days of wrangling. The Spaniard, 25, will sign a £35 million, four-and-a-half year deal after completing a medical to become United's record signing. The previous record was the £30.75m they paid Tottenham for Dimitar Berbatov in 2008.Mata's £150,000-a-week contract will make him United’s third highest-paid player behind Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie, who are both on £250,000 a week.(mirror.co.uk)ANN.Az
