Ministry of internal affairs: 20 criminal groups exposed in 2013

Meeting on the fight against crime and the protection of public order took place in the General Directorate for Combating Organized Crime (GDCOC) of the MIA with participation of the Minister Ramil Usubov. The head of the GDCOC, Mirgafar Seyidov, said that in 2013, 20 criminal groups of 96 people were exposed. The groups committed 131 crimes , including 53 fraud , 10 facts of smuggling, 21 - selling drugs, 8 - illicit trafficking of weapons.

From the members of the groups were seized about 44.4 kilograms of drugs and two explosives, as well as counterfeit banknotes in the amount of 78,000 manat.

Along with this, the activities of 13 items which organized the illegal gambling were suspended
