Azerbaijani direct investments in Russia estimated at $1 billion

Azerbaijan has so far made over $1 billion of direct investments in the Russian economy, according to Shahin Mustafayev, the minister of economy and industry.
Speaking on Feb. 10 at a meeting with Russian Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich in Baku, Mustafayev said Azerbaijani investments in Russia totaled $250 million in 2013 alone.
Russia, for its part, has invested more than $1.8 billion in Azerbaijan since 2004.
There are over 600 Russian companies doing business in Azerbaijan at the moment.
