Ministry: Prices in the market of bread, main food products and medicine are stable

In accordance with the Action Plan adopted by the Ministry of Economy and Industry on February 21, 2015 in order to prevent artificial price rise due to exchange rate fluctuation of manat, the Ministry continues control measures. 

 

According to the Ministry, the price rise in the flour has been prevented through the reserves in the State Grain Fund and measures taken jointly with the relevant state bodies, sale price of the bread and bread products remained unchanged.

 

For the present, the bread and bread products are  sold for previous prices and the prices are stable.

 

As a result of the measures taken by the State Service for Antimonopoly Policy and Consumers' Rights Protection under the Ministry of Economy and Industry and relevant structures of the Ministry of Health, the price rise in the medicines has been prevented and the prices are currently stable.

 

The monitoring conducted by the State Service across the country and in consumption market has revealed that prices of a number of food products have been artificially increased, as well as withdrawn from circulation. Criminal cases have been launched against the suppliers of those products on violation of antitrust legislation.
