Detective fiction writer appointed president of Neftci FC: report

Renowned detective fiction writer Cingiz Abdullayev has been appointed president of Baku’s Neftci football club, Aznews reported.

The club has yet to make the decision public.

Neftci FC president Sadiq Sadiqov had earlier resigned, without giving any reason.

Neftci won the Azerbaijani championship three times since Sadiqov took over in 2009.
