Total to make investment decision on Azerbaijan’s Absheron in 2017
05.06.2015 20:00
France’s Total SA will make a final investment decision on Azerbaijan’s offshore natural gas deposit of Absheron at the end of 2017, said Eric Meyer, the company’s director for JVs and planning, said in Baku.

Meyer said Total is working on a project development plan, which will be submitted to the Azerbaijani government in September.

Absheron, discovered in 2011, is estimated to hold up to 300 billion cubic meters of gas. Total leads the project with a 40 percent stake. Its partners include Azerbaijan’s SOCAR (40 percent) and Gaz de France (20 percent).
