Socar cuts oil, natural gas production in Jan-April

Azerbaijan’s state energy company Socar produced 2.76 million tons of crude oil in the first four months of 2015, down from 2.79 million tons a year earlier, the company said.

Socar also pumped 2.23 billion cubic meters of natural gas during the period. That compares with 2.65bcm produced during the same period last year.

Azerbaijan’s total oil output increased in January through April to 14.2 million tons from 14.1 million tons year on year.
