The Formula One season is scheduled to include a record 21 races next year.

The FIA on Friday released a provisional calendar for the 2016 campaign, including the inaugural race in Baku, Azerbaijan, on July 17.

It also features a return for the German Grand Prix, which was dropped from the 2015 calendar.

The season is due to get under way in Australia on April 3 and finish in Abu Dhabi on November 27.

The British Grand Prix is scheduled for June 26.

The FIA made the announcement following a meeting of its World Motor Sport Council in Mexico City.
