Ronda Rousey wins ESPY for Best Fighter

"I wonder how Floyd [Mayweather] feels being beaten by a woman for once," said UFC women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey after she took home the ESPY award for Best Fighter ahead of boxing's pound-for-pound best.
Tonight is the ESPYs, the ESPN-created awards show that honors the top performers and highest achievers in sports, and we already know that Ronda Rousey is one of the winners. She was nominated for Best Female Athlete, Best Play, and Best Fighter, and in a red carpet interview earlier this evening, she showed off her ESPY trophy for Best Fighter. Floyd Mayweather was one of the others nominated in that category, and Rousey let off this gem which you can watch in the video below. (Video via David St. Martin)
"I wonder how Floyd [Mayweather] feels being beaten by a woman for once," Rousey said. "I'd like to see you pretend to not know who I am now!"
It's a two-pronged attack by the reigning, undefeated, undisputed UFC women's bantamweight champion. The first half of the quote digs into Mayweather's documented history of domestic violence, of which he'd served a pitifully short jail sentence in 2012. The second half refers to Mayweather claiming he doesn't know who Rousey is, even referring to her as "he".
The ESPY awards air lives tonight at 8 PM ET on ABC. Rousey is the first UFC fighter to win the Best Fighter ESPY, with Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao having previously been the only award winners since its creation back in 2007.
