Russia introduces ban on gasoline exports

Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustinapproved a ban on gasoline exports for six months, starting March 1 of this year, reported from RBC.

The temporary export ban will not affect the agreed volumes of gasoline supplies to the states of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), as well as to Mongolia, Uzbekistan, Abkhazia and South Ossetia.
In addition, according to the agency's sources, a decision was made to increase the standard for diesel sales on the stock exchange to 16%.

According to RBC, the initiator of the introduction of a temporary ban on the export of gasoline and an increase in the standards for trading petroleum products on the stock exchange was the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak. In Novak's opinion, it is necessary to take measures that will help stabilize prices on the domestic market and neutralize the rush demand for petroleum products in the country.
