Iran, Russia and China will hold joint military naval exercises in March, said the commander of the Iranian Navy, Shahram Irani, reported from Iranian media.

"Other countries have also been invited to take part in joint naval exercises between Iran, Russia and China, which will take place at the end of the Iranian calendar year (ends March 2024),” he noted.

He added that for Iran, the exercises are carried out with the aim of practicing situations to ensure "the security of the interests and economic resources of the Islamic Republic and the countries of the Near and Middle East region.”
