It is required to introduce a bill to the Russian Duma that would cancel the ratification of the Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty (CTBT), said Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian FederationSergey Ryabkov, reported from TASS.

He said that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is preparing such a bill.

Ryabkov explained that de-ratification of the CTBT is necessary so that the situation regarding the treaty is mirrored with the US.

He noted that Moscow expects that the signal from the Russian Federation with the de-ratification of the CTBT will be accepted by Washington.
