Russia confirmed 31,299 new cases per day – the maximum of coronavirus infections per day, bringing the total to 7,892,980 across the country, RIA Novosti reports with reference to the operational headquarters to combat the spread of coronavirus infection, Report says.

A total of 986 people died of COVID-19 per day, bringing the total of deaths to 220,315 since the outbreak of the pandemic. Some 21,670 people recovered in a day, taking the number of the recovered patients to 6,937,756.
