Russia slams EU's €10M support for Armenian Armed Forces

Russia slams EU's €10M support for Armenian Armed Forces
24.07.2024 14:00
The Russian Foreign Ministry has strongly condemned the European Union's decision to allocate €10 million to support the Armenian Armed Forces.

In a recent briefing, spokesperson Maria Zakharova accused the EU of harboring geopolitical calculations aimed at spreading its "destructive influence" in the South Caucasus region.

According to the information , Zakharova stated, "The collective West cannot bear the thought of one less hot region on the map! The European Peace Fund is not about peace, stability, or security. This fund is about war, provoking countries, and bloodshed. Nothing good for the security and stability of the region will come out of such Western approaches that follow the principle of 'divide and rule, clash and pit against each other' in the South Caucasus."

She further emphasized that the European Union has lost its peaceful foundation and possesses no peaceful potential.
