Russia succeeds in improving statehood - Azerbaijan's president

Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev greeted Russia's President Vladimir Putin on the eve of the state holiday - the Russia Day celebrated on June 12.


"Under your leadership, the Russian Federation has achieved major success in improving the statehood and rule of law, in making the effective economy," the telegram reads. "The ongoing reforms in the political, social and economic life, the accord and stability in the society, the active international policies is the firm base for improvement of Russia's international authority."


In the greeting telegram, the Azerbaijani president expressed satisfaction with "the high level of the Azerbaijan-Russia relations, dynamic and overwhelming development of cooperation in all spheres."


"I am confident, in future our joint efforts will also be directed at further development of the strategic partnership and overwhelming cooperation between our countries, at improvement of the firm traditions of friendship, good neighborhood and mutual support between our nations."


Ilham Aliyev wished good health, happiness and success to Vladimir Putin and to the people of Russia - peace and wellbeing.
