Russia is actively working towards reviving the functionality of its Mir payment cards in Armenia and Kyrgyzstan, two former Soviet republics that have been facing immense pressure from Western nations, according to a statement by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Pankin at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF)

"Of course, [we are working on it]. Interactions are ongoing, but they (Armenia and Kyrgyzstan) are under heavy pressure from Western countries," Pankin told TASS.

He further elaborated that Western nations are "trying to find various weak spots in their interactions with the world" to exert influence and control.

The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, taking place from June 5 to 8, is themed "Foundation of a Multipolar World - Shaping New Growth Points" this year. The event features meetings and discussions involving representatives from small and medium-sized enterprises, creative businesses, and various other sectors.
