Russian airlines complain to Federal Antimonopoly Service about increase in airport tariffs

The Russian Association of Air Transport Operators has complained to the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) about the systematic, unreasonable increase in airport tariffs in Russia, reported from RBC.

"The establishment of tariffs for services, the prices of which are not regulated by the state, is carried out arbitrarily, both in their absolute value and in the frequency of their changes, mainly without any justified connection with the real cost of each of the services,” reads the letter from the president of Association of Air Transport Operators Vladimir Tasun.

As a result, tariffs for the same types of services at airports with comparable passenger traffic and in comparable regions of location differ significantly. At the same time, the share of services for which tariffs are not regulated in the total cost of ground handling reaches 75%.
