The lack of progress in normalizing relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia is caused by the position of Yerevan, which receives advice from the West, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said at the traditional annual press conference, according to the information.

"I have, in general, every reason to say that the West doesn’t want to allow the agreements that were concluded between us [Azerbaijan, Russia and Armenia] in subsequent decisions,” Lavrov noted.

"I don’t know who is advising Yerevan. But we saw how the European Union, France, Germany, and the United States, as soon as they realized that the Russian-Armenian-Azerbaijani process was producing results in unblocking routes, delimiting the border, and preparing peace treaty, immediately began to infiltrate these processes without invitation,” the Russian foreign minister said.
