Russian forces enter Ukraine’s Kreminna, street fighting begins

Russian troops have entered Kreminna city in the Luhansk region (Ukraine), head of the Luhansk regional military administration Serhiy Haidai said, reported from UNIAN.
Haidai earlier informed that artillery shelling of Kreminna continued during the day on April 17 and became more frequent and powerful at night. Seven residential buildings and outbuildings caught fire.
In addition, the Russian Armed Forces attacked the Olimp sports complex in Kreminna.
"A few hours ago, Russian shells hit local sports infrastructure facilities. In particular, the recently built Olimp sports complex, where representatives of the Ukrainian Olympic team usually trained. The fire area, according to preliminary estimates, is 2,400 square meters,” he wrote.
He added that rescuers on the spot are trying to localize the flames, because there is a forest nearby.
