Russian MFA: 'We welcome agreement between Baku and Yerevan'

Moscow welcomes the agreement between Baku and Yerevan on the mutual release of Armenian and Azerbaijani servicemen, spokesperson of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) Maria Zakharovasaid.
"Russia has consistently proposed the idea of exchanging detained persons on the basis of the 'all for all' principle. This contributes to the strengthening of mutual trust and opens up new opportunities in promoting the process of normalization of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations in accordance with the tripartite statements signed by the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia in 2020-2022. We are ready to provide all kinds of assistance in the opening of transport communications, border delimitation, signing of a peace agreement and contacts through civil society," she added.
