Almost 100 snipers of the Russian military base of the Southern military province in Armenia have started competitions in sniper shooting at the mountainous training complex Kamhud, RIA Novosti reports.

"The participants of the contest will have to demonstrate ability to define the needed object among the groups of similar targets, accuracy of target-hitting at the distance from 100 to 1,500 meters. Hot climate and landscape demand special endurance and consideration of ballistic indicators of shooting gun", the message states.

Military men are improving their physical training, hold battle marches and fulfill special training normals in tactics, engineering readiness, topography, communication and intelligence.
