According to results of the survey conducted by the Russian Field research group, Boris Yeltsin and Mikhail Gorbachev are the worst leaders in Russian history.

The survey was conducted to determine the best and worst leaders in the country's history. Thus, the most popular leaders were Peter I (82%) and Catherine II (71%), and Joseph Stalin was in third place, scoring 65%. Most of the elderly respondents voted for him. The survey notes that the authors were surprised by the result, as they expected the Soviet leader to be at the top of the rating.

According to Russians, the worst leaders are Boris Yeltsin (19%) and Mikhail Gorbachev (17%). Male respondents over the age of 30 and people with a family income of up to 40,000 rubles showed the worst attitude towards them.
