Ukraine’s defense forces continue to advance along the flanks in the Bakhmut direction as Russians are losing ground, said Colonel-General Oleksandr Syrskyi, Commander of Ukraine’s Ground Forces, reported from Ukrinform.

Alexander Tarnavsky, the commander of the Tavria operational-strategic troop, said that the military prevented Russia's advance from the east of Ukraine: "The defense forces continue the operation to neutralize the Russian army."

Ukrainian forces conducted offensive operations along the eastern front and made several advances on June 5, Deputy Defense Minister Hanna Maliar reported on Telegram:

"Ukrainian troops advanced 200 to 1,600 meters in the direction of Orikhovo-Vasylivka and Paraskoviivka, and 100 to 700 meters in the direction of Ivanivske and Klischiivka."
