Russia's gasoline production falls by over 10% due to drone attacks

Gasoline production in the Russian Federation in the last week of March amounted to 110,700 tons per day, having decreased by 12% compared to the average daily figure for February, according to Rosstat, reported from the Kommersant newspaper.

Diesel fuel production decreased by 3.5%, to 231,000 tons per day.

Russian refineries have reduced gasoline production mainly because of the damage to primary processing units due to attacks by Ukrainian drones, the newspaper said. As a result of the attacks, installations at the Ryazan Oil Refinery, Kuibyshev Oil Refinery, Syzran Oil Refinery, and Nizhny Novgorod Oil Refinery were shut down.

Gasoline production may begin to recover in April as damaged units are being repaired.
