Spokesman for the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation Vladimir Markin has announced the basic versions regarding Boris Nemtsov’s death.

 

APA reports quoting official website of the committee that these versions also include the traces of the Islamic extremism.

 

Nemtsov was threatened for his position on attack to Charlie Hebdo Magazine in Paris. According to investigation, the murder can be caused by a provocation to violate the political stability in Russia.

 

Moreover, the RIC considers the Ukrainian crisis as well as Nemtsov’s commercial activity and personal animosity as the reasons for his death.

 

Markin said that some results were achieved during our investigation. He mentioned that along with the woman by him, other persons who witnessed the murder are being questioned: "The experts are investigating the details of the phone calls before and after the moment of the crime. Surveillance cameras on Nemtsov’s route are being investigated. He was likely shot from Makarov pistol. During the inspection of the scene, 6 cartridge cases with 9 mm caliber were found. It turned out that the pistol was filled with different bullets”.  

 

He also mentioned that the murderer was aware of the route that Nemtsov will move on and the crime was carefully planned.
