RWE Dea denies Nakhchivan drilling plan reports

RWE Dea has denied reports that it has a drilling plan in place for the Nakhchivan oil and gas structure in the Caspian Sea, claiming that a senior executive has been misquoted – and that no drilling plan will be formed until it signs an exploration contract with Azerbaijan’s state oil and gas company SOCAR.

RWE aims to complete 3D seismic re-processing at Nakhchivan and submit data to Socar in a few weeks, a company official said in Baku on June 5.
