The EU admission can take place only after meeting all the criteria, the chancellor said.
Scholz added that, for its part, the European Union also has to fulfill a number of tasks in order to be able to admit new members.
The German Chancellor said that he is discussing with Ukrainian politicians and allies the issues of the future of Ukraine after the end of the armed conflict. One of the topics is ensuring the security of the country.
