Second round of parliamentary elections in Iran kicks off

The second round of parliamentary elections in 22 constituencies has started in Iran, reported from ISNA.

It was reported that 90 candidates will fight for 44 seats in 22 constituencies.

On March 1, the 6th convocation elections to the Assembly of Experts (Majlise-Khobregan, the body that elects the supreme leader) and the 12th convocation elections to the Islamic Council Assembly (parliament) were held in Iran. A total of 144 clerics participated in the struggle for 88 seats in the council, as well as 15,200 candidates competed for 290 seats in the Iranian parliament.
