Shmyhal: Register of damage caused by aggression of Russia against Ukraine created

The participants of the Council of Europe summit in Reykjavik signed a declaration on the establishment of the Register of Damage Caused by the Aggression of the Russian Federation Against Ukraine, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal said, reported from TASS.

"We have just signed a political declaration in Reykjavik on the creation of a register of damage caused by aggression against Ukraine. <...> Now it is necessary to ensure the operation of the register itself so that the victims can submit their applications," he wrote on his Telegram channel.

According to Denys Shmyhal, a mechanism will also have to be created "which will ensure the payment of full compensation to Ukraine under international law, in particular, at the expense of Russian assets around the world."

According to the UN report "The global economic situation and its prospects", the Ukrainian economy is stagnating in 2023, despite IMF loans and international financial assistance. The cost of its restoration is estimated at $411 billion.
