"We have an ambitious plan - to fully prepare for EU membership in two years," he noted.
Shmyhal arrived in Rome on April 26 to attend a conference on the restoration of Ukraine, which is being organized by the Italian government. The event will be attended by representatives of the authorities and businesses of the two countries. More than 600 companies are expected to participate.
"We are confident that, together with our allies, we will implement an emergency recovery program that will benefit not only Ukraine, but also Italy and all of Europe,” Shmyhal added.
"Ukraine is working with partners on the Marshall Plan,” he said, noting that Italian companies can play a key role in the reconstruction of Ukraine
