Slovakia is on the verge of civil war, Interior Minister Matus Sutaj Estok said in connection with the attempt on the life of Prime Minister Robert Fico, reported from  Slovak media.

He noted that the attack on the prime minister was carried out for political reasons.

Meanwhile, the country’s police accused the shooter of the prime minister of attempted premeditated murder out of revenge; he faces 25 years to life imprisonment.
