Azerbaijan's state energy company SOCAR is still interested in buying a 66 percent stake in the Greek gas grid operator Desfa, SOCAR President Rovnaq Abdullayev said Monday in Baku.
The company will continue talks with the new Greek government in December, he said.
Greece aims to sell 49 percent of Desfa to SOCAR rather than 66 percent, according to Greek media reports.
SOCAR won the tender to buy the controlling share in Desfa for 400 million euros. The completion of the sale is still pending approvals by the EU and national authorities.
