Azerbaijan to face Germany in judo world championships team event

Azerbaijan will face Germany in the round of 16 of the mixed team competition at the Judo World Championships on Thursday in Budapest.
Sixteen national teams are competing for medals, with matchups contested in six weight categories: men's -73kg, -90kg, and +90kg, and women's -57kg, -70kg, and +70kg.
Azerbaijan’s team includes Hidayat Heydarov and Rashid Mammadaliyev (-73kg), Eljan Hajiev and Vugar Talibov (-90kg), Zelim Kotsoev and Ushangi Kokauri (+90kg), Fidan Alizada and Gyultaj Mammadaliyeva (-57kg), Aytaj Gardashkhanli (-70kg), and Nigar Suleymanova (+78kg).
In individual events, Azerbaijani judokas have already claimed three bronze medals: Zelim Tckaev (81kg), Eljan Hajiev (90kg), and Zelim Kotsoev (100kg).
